. . . I remember . . .
the sea green silhouette,
of your back's strong curve.
. . . Soaring seagulls . . .
arced white wings
splitting the endless blue.
. . . The light in your eyes . . .
my sun warmed hand,
secure in yours.
. . . Tumbled sea glass . . .
treasure from the surf,
more precious than sapphires.

The colours in this one reminded me of time spent on out of season empty beaches in Cornwall many years ago. That special light, the flat turquoise ocean, the soft golden sand, and all the treasures we collected from the waters edge. Most precious were the pieces of sea tumbled glass, their edges worn smooth and their delicate colours, greens, blues, lilacs, like jewels in my hand. I still have them. . . and the memories.

I take my hat off to you for this one! It will send me to bed with glowing images in my head. *smiles* My post is scheduled to appear in about ten minutes time, but thanks for the link to yours. Good luck at the dentists! :)
beautiful both the picture and the vivid description in your poem
Thanks very much Jinksy and Sheilagh.
I have actually added some notes to the bottom this morning too.
Good to see you both.x
Susannah really like this one. You reminded me of a place I used to go actually called Glass Beach because of the pieces of smoothed glass to be found there. I would take them home and put them in a glass jar to sit in the sunlight. Wonderful response to Jinksy's image. Hope all goes well at the Dentist.

what a lovely write.
So beautiful.......you took me right there - I love the tumbled sea glass.
I utterly adore the colors, the movement and cadence, the true ocean feeling and sensation. You took me there. I am happy. I am grateful!
Yes, memories like that are jewels in the hand. I also really liked "arced white wings
splitting the endless blue"
I look at the painting now and I hear seagulls! :) I had a go at it too. A fun idea, I think!
This is soft and lovely!
Thanks everyone for your kind words. x
The sea seems to bring back beautiful memories to so many of us. The sea glass must have been a wonderful find, as interesting as shells.
Oh yes, I've spent many days at the beach collecting sea glass! Beautiful images of the beach.
Gorgeous imagery! I love the way you've captured the colours and the texture of the sea.
Yes, the sea glass was beautiful - as were all the pebbles and bits of driftwood I carted back home too. ;-)
The ocean is a wonderful place and somewhere I don't get to visit often enough.
Thanks very much everyone for your comments, they are much appreciated. x
This was stunning; really vivid! You reminded me of a place I loved~ Great job!
