Creation. . .

Written in response to this lovely image by Elizabeth Crawford at Unraveling

C R E A T I O N

Thick wet paper
waits like snow
eager for your colour

Soft bristled brush
holding purple
drinks your hues

Anticipating the moment
when two things meet
and both are transformed

WATER - COLOUR - BRUSH - PAPER - ME - YOU

Brush touches paper

Colour

. . . S P R E A D S . . .

like stars - exploding - in distant galaxies

like beautiful flowers - bursting - into bloom

In that moment
of alchemy
M A G I C

Something new
has been
born

Absolutely beautiful, Susannah. It's perfect. Purple is the color of personal power. You nailed it. Thank you.

Alchemy is exactly it - but I think it's you, me and us three that it could be used to explain, as well the paint and paper...our thoughts just seem to merge... :-)

I love what you saw with this image, Susannah. I saw the stars, too. Nice.

I just love the way this looks on the page, and being a lover of water colour too, this poem was filled with magic for me.

Paintings like poetry capture the moment. To be able to do both is Magic.
