No Such Thing . . .
My pockets are filled
with sunlight.
No shadows here today.
I washed them, down
the shiny white sink,
(they swirled clockwise,
gurgling as they went.)
Today sparkles, and
there is no such thing
as tomorrow.

kind of like The Power of Now.
gurgling shadows... love that idea!
Perhaps we should all learn how to wash our shadows down the sink. It sound like good therapy.
I think it is just wonderful when a person can SO much enjoy 'today' and take no thought whatsoever of tomorrow! Beautiful thoughts, Susannah.
Lovely, I too loved the clockwise down the plug hole.
Beautiful imagery.
Thanks very much everyone. I appreciate you reading and leaving a comment. It is good to see you all. x
I love this poem! Beautifully crafted but elegantly simple.
Well done and each line is well carved very carefully and with much thought!! Such a beautiful idea, not to leave anything for tomorrow!!
Your poem is wonderful! Your words are very imaginative and descriptive and pulled me right in. Kudos!
